CARES After-school Program
OMC’s CARES After School Program provides a safe, welcoming environment for students after school, giving families added flexibility while keeping children engaged in a familiar setting. Students enjoy a balance of homework time, supervised play, and enriching activities under the care of our dedicated staff.
- Hours: 3-6 p.m. on full school days
- Grades Served: Pre-K – Grade 6
- Eligibility: Available to students currently enrolled at OMC
- Snack: A complimentary afternoon snack is provided each day
- Daily Activities: Homework time, snack, indoor and outdoor recreation, games, crafts, and other supervised activities

How much does CARES cost?

Where do I pick my child up?
- On pleasant weather days, CARES may be held outdoors on the front lawn. Parents may sign students out directly from this location.
- On all other days, please park in the OMC parking lot and use the lower entrance intercom for pickup.
Do you offer before care?
Standard school day drop-off begins at 7:45 am. No care is available before this time.
Do students have time to complete homework?
Yes. Dedicated homework time is built into the afternoon schedule, giving students the opportunity to complete their assignments before going home
Can my student participate in other after school activities?
Yes. Students who participate in eligible after-school clubs, athletics, or other school activities may join CARES afterward. Please contact the school office with any questions regarding specific programs.
Can I pick my child up before 6 p.m.?
Yes, you can pick your child up anytime before 6 p.m.
Do I need to register in advance?
Yes. All students participating in the CARES After School Program must register. To register, please contact Dianna Branch at [email protected].
What if I don’t need care every day?
CARES offers flexible scheduling, with registration available for one to five days per week.
What days is CARES offered?
CARES is offered every full day of the school year. After-school care is not offered on half days or holidays.
